Honors & Tributes

Throughout life, we meet and are influenced by individuals to whom we may be deeply indebted. That special person may have been a teacher, a religious leader, a career mentor or a lifelong friend. That special person may be a family member — a father who guided you, a mother who loved you or grandparent whose winning words you still remember with affection.

Tributes

A tribute donation to the Alabama State Parks Foundation offers a distinguished way to honor a cherished individual. Consider designating a significant location within one of our parks in their name—a location that resonates with the memories and sentiments you hold for this person. Your tribute could encompass a trail, tree, cabin, recreational program, or shelter, among other possibilities. There are myriad respectful ways to commemorate through our Foundation.

Sharing a Memory

Cherished recollections often converge at a singular location within our network of 21 parks. A contribution to the Foundation provides the opportunity for you or your family to dedicate a picnic shelter, a lakeside pavilion, a room in a beloved lodge, a campground, or a hiking trail. We invite you to reflect upon this and share a significant park memory with us. Such a gesture allows you to honor dear ones by “dedicating a landmark in memory” at the park.
