David passed away Friday July 31, 2020
David served in the US Army Corp of Engineers
He loved his local church, serving as an ordained deacon, sunday school teacher, department director, camp counselor, and most recently, as co-founder and teacher for Friendship Sunday School class.
In retirement, Dave was an active volunteer with Carpenters for Christ, Lions Club, Boy Scout Troop 245, and American Red Cross Disaster Relief and Training. He loved the outdoors and served with the Nature Conservancy, volunteered at Little River Canyon State Park, and was a certified Master Gardner in Etowah and Cherokee Counties earning his Ruby Star for lifetime service hours.
In Memory of
Jane Seifert
Jane was born, one of six girls, on a dairy farm in western Wisconsin. Her parents raised her in a faith-filled Catholic family with a strong work ethic. She graduated with a BS degree in nursing from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI and started her 30-year nursing career immediately at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, WI, which eventually became Marshfield Clinic Health Systems. During her career, she worked in the cardiac intensive care, ambulatory and gastro-intestinal departments. She was dearly loved and respected by patients as well as by fellow staff for her professionalism, care, and medical knowledge.
Jane loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, canoeing and just being with nature. Trips with friends to the Grand Canyon, Quetico Canada, and Mexico and many other destinations gave her much joy and formed long-lasting friendships. She and her loving husband Dick enjoyed various cruises to the Caribbean and Canada plus European travels, especially to Assisi, Italy. Their favorite times were as Snowbirds in Orange Beach, AL biking and hiking in the Gulf State Parks.
While these were wonderful experiences, her most precious gifts were sharing her faith and giving of herself through the outpouring of her love and care for her family and others. Her many friends and family will remember her for her zest for life and her heartfelt kindness and concern for others.
Jane's husband Richard Seifert has selected to honor Jane with a park bench in
Gulf State Park
The placement to be near mile 2.25 near the overlook looking south
With the inscription
Jane shared love with all
Forever in many hearts, Dick

Lynn was a true outdoorsman. His love for the outdoors was fulfilled through hunting, fishing, camping and simply taking in the outdoors. His positive personality was contagious - he was truly a people person. May his memory live on through others that share the same love for the great outdoors and through the beauty Alabama State Parks offer.
